Baccarat Online For Real Money at Las Atlantis

Think about it all you want, but Baccarat is called one of the easiest casino games for a reason – it has very (and we mean – very) simple rules and little to no strategy – unless, of course, you want to spice things up a little, make your game a little less chaotic for your tastes and win real money. Still, actually learning how to play and what Baccarat is and we’re here to help you win at a Live Dealer Baccarat section.

At Las Atlantis, you can join the Baccarat table without even leaving the comfort of your home to have a go at winning some real money and implementing all the strategies you want at an online casino.

History of Baccarat

Baccarat’s backstory goes all the way back to the 1400s in Italy (fancy, right?), when Felix Falguiere came up with a game and called it “baccara,” which is Italian for “zero,” since all the tens and face cards are worth nada. It was inspired by ancient Roman dice games where rolling an eight or nine was the jackpot – kind of like hitting those “natural” hands in Baccarat today.

By the late 1400s, French soldiers brought the game back from Italy, and it took off with the French nobility, thanks to King Charles VIII. The French even gave it their own spin, creating versions like Chemin de Fer and Baccarat Banque. Back then, though, it was strictly for the high rollers – your average Joe wasn’t getting a seat at that table.

Then, in the 1800s, Baccarat started making its way across Europe, going as far as inserting itself into a royal scandal in England in 1891 that put it on everyone’s radar. Eventually, it crossed the Atlantic and caught on in the Americas in the 1950s, when Casino Royale introduced James Bond fans to the game’s glitz and glamour. Around the same time, a simplified version called Punto Banco popped up, and Vegas casinos were all over it.

How to Play Baccarat at Online Casino

The Baccarat’s goal is simple: get as close to 9 as you can. That’s it. Unlike Blackjack, where you’re stressing about hitting 21 or going bust, here you’re just chilling and aiming for 9. No pressure.

That being said, we mentioned before that the version you’ll see most often online is called Punto Banco. In this one, you’re not even handling the cards – you’re just betting on what you think will happen. Baccarat rules here give you three options: bet on the Player hand to win, the Banker hand to win, or that it’s going to be a Tie. Once you place your bet, the dealer deals two cards to the Player and two to the Banker. So, according to the Baccarat terms, whichever hand is closer to 9 wins.

The card values are the easiest to follow among different casino games, too: 2 to 9 are worth their face value, Aces are 1, and anything 10 or higher is worth 0. If your total goes over 9, you just drop the first digit. So, for example, 15 becomes 5. And if you hit an 8 or 9 with your first two cards, that’s a “natural”, which means you win money right away.

Popular Baccarat Strategies

If you want to improve your online Baccarat skills and win more at Las Atlantis, the first thing is to know the rules. There are three main bets: Banker, Player, and Tie. Statistically, betting on Banker is your best shot (with a house edge of just 1.06%). Stay away from the Tie bet – even though it offers a high payout and real cash, the odds of winning are pretty low. Also, be sure to manage your bankroll - set a budget and stick to it. And finally, using a strategy can definitely help you make better choices and keep things fun – and, well, show you how to win at Baccarat:

  • Mikki Mase Strategy: This one’s all about spotting patterns. Mikki Mase, a pro gambler, bets based on trends he notices in the game. Following his steps, if you see a streak of Banker wins, bet more on that.
  • Martingale Strategy: This Baccarat strategy is pretty famous: double your bet after every loss to make up for the previous ones. If you start with a small bet at our casino, it can work, but it gets risky if you lose too many in a row. You’ll need a big bankroll to handle those losing streaks and win money.
  • James Bond Strategy: You’ve probably heard of this one at our casino – basically, you split your bet like 70% on Banker, 25% on Player, and 5% on Tie to win real cash. It covers multiple outcomes but gets risky because that Tie bet has terrible odds.
